  The history of the internet

The Internet is a network that connects computers all over the world. Through the Internet, people can share information and communicate from anywhere with an Internet connection. The Internet started in the 1960s as a way for government researchers to share information. This eventually led to the formation of the ARPANET. In 1971 electronic mail, or e-mail was invented to send a message from one computer to another. By the mid-1970s many groups of computers were connected in networks. This is how the original ARPANET eventually grew into the Internet. January 1, 1983, is considered the official birthday of the Internet. Prior to this, the various computer networks did not have a standard way to communicate with each other. The Internet has many benefits some of them are connectivity, communication, sharing information, knowledge, address, mapping, contact information, selling, making money, banking, bills, shopping, entertainment, working from home, and virtual classes.
